SCOPE OF POSITION:
Construction Specialties is looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior Manufacturing Systems Architect.
The role will report to the CIO and will be part of the IT Leadership Team.
The ideal candidate would be responsible for identifying, designing, and implementing opportunities to harmonize systems, processes, tools, data models, integration, IT/OT security and compliance for manufacturing/operations systems within Construction Specialties.
As an architect, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with cross functional teams, including IT, Manufacturing/Operations, Engineering and Business Units to identify business requirements, assess technical feasibility and design solutions that align with our company's goals and objectives.
This role focuses on investing and leveraging technology solutions in manufacturing/operations to transform business processes and elevate our manufacturing effectiveness.

Develop and maintain an in-depth understanding of our manufacturing processes, systems, and technologies Collaborate with cross functional internal teams and external stakeholders to provide technology vision and long-term roadmap for manufacturing systems, integrations, and automation opportunities, with focus in the IT/OT environment Define the OT architecture for our manufacturing environment, including the integration of new technologies, systems, and tools Develop and maintain the manufacturing plant's operational technology roadmap, identify opportunities for system enhancements and improvements.
Partner with Manufacturing/Operations on approaches to simplify and standardize tools in the Drafting & Layout processes that enable a more agile manufacturing organization Lead the development of standards and best practices for the IT/OT environment, including cybersecurity, data integrity, and automation standards Collaborate with IT teams to ensure the manufacturing systems environment is integrated with enterprise systems such as ERP, CAD Tools, BI, etc.
Ability to communicate within all levels in the organization from plant shop floor to Executive leadership Evaluate and recommend new OT technologies, manufacturing systems, and tools that enhance our manufacturing processes and increase productivity Provide technical guidance and support to project teams and stakeholders, including training and knowledge transfer Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors and technology partners to stay up to date on emerging trends and best practices.
Collaborate with IT and cybersecurity teams to ensure the security and compliance of operational technology systems.
Stay up to date with emerging trends and technologies in operational technology architecture and manufacturing execution systems Other duties as required by management.
Qualifications KNOWLEDGE/ SKILLS/ EXPERIENCE/ EDUCATION:
(Minimum Education and/or Experience required) Bachelor's or master's degree in business administration, Computer Engineering/Science, or related field 5
years of experience in manufacturing systems, integrations, and/or OT architecture design, implementation, and support in a manufacturing environment.
Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, systems, and technologies, including PLCs, HMI, DCS, and MES Demonstrated experience in customer focus, both internal and external customers Strong knowledge of cybersecurity, data integrity, and quality control in the OT environment Experience in project management, including budget and resource planning Excellent communications skills whether that be in person, online calls, or email Strong organizational and planning skills Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment Experience in managing cross functional teams & projects, as well as influencing senior level management and key stakeholders Ability to perform in a fast paced, team environment, under pressure with time constraints while responding and adapting to change favorably and quickly Willingness to travel as needed SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES :
