Bakerly, a fast-growing French-based manufacturer of baked goods (crepes, brioche, and pastries) with a people-centered philosophy, has expanded into the US in 2016 and established their first US Based manufacturing facility in Easton, PA in 2017 and Bakerly is actively expanding production capacity at its new manufacturing facility in San Antonio, TX, which is scheduled for completion, June 2023.
We are currently hiring a Financial Analyst to join the Easton PA team!Scope/Purpose of the PositionThe Financial Analyst primarily works with the Financial Planning, Reporting and Analysis Manager, Accounts Payable Manager as well as the Easton Plant Manager to maintain the accuracy and integrity of the General Ledger and Reporting Systems.
He/She will then use this data to support Plant and Corporate Operations.
The Company has an aggressive strategy to continue to expand operations for the next several years and is excited to be adding talented team members.
A successful Financial Analyst will be one who is willing to:
1)build and maintain new processes, 2)Spend time on the plant floor(hands on approach), and 3) roll-up their sleaves to tackle a problem or project.
Key Roles and Responsibilities o Monitor cost standards for materials and labor o Analyze manufacturing costs and build regular reports comparing standard costs to actual production costs.
o Maintain pricing analytics between business units, primarily transfer prices between the companies subsidiaries.
o Reconcile beginning raw materials, work-in-progress and finished-goods stock o Prepare and complete internal cost audits o Investigate Ingredient and Packaging Purchase Price Variances o Work with Plant Departments to help understand the monthly operating results comparing budget to actual - month and year-to-date
o Preparation of Plant and Cost Center Monthly Financial Reporting Packages o Assist with providing details of general ledger accounts as requested by department managers and plant employees o Assist with annual budget preparation and analysis o Work with Production Teams to better understand Manufacturing Variances as well as Plant Operating Performance related to yield and efficiency o Ensure that financial policies and procedures are followed o Work with other team members on special projects as assigned and time permitsQualifications and Skills o Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration / Accounting/Cost Accounting o 1-3 years relevant experience in Accounting with manufacturing environment preferred o Experience in operating in an ERP environment (Sage X3, Oracle, SAP, etc.
) o Advanced Excel skills o Ability to communicate effectively (both written and verbally) across multi-site operations o Strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task will be essential o Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
o Willingness to regularly be on a plant floor, working collaboratively with team members to root cause financial issues in a production environment.
